About Us
Skelton & Co Accounting Ltd began as Director Michelle being a sole-trader, trading as S & W Bookkeeping. Her bookkeeping career started in 2004 by chance whilst working at Corsham Community Centre. Bookkeeping seemed the ideal job to have whilst raising children. Fast forward 20 years, with more qualifications, plenty of experience and working within an accountancy practice for 10 years it was decided that S&W should be rebranded.
Skelton & Co Accounting Ltd is fully compliant with new regulations including the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 (MLR07) GDPR Regulations 2018 and as a member of the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) we therefore have a regulated practice (number 24633). We are proficient with using, QuickBooks, Xero, FreeAgent, Sage Accounts, VT Transactions, Excel and Moneysoft Payroll. We are also happy to do manual bookkeeping for you too!
Meet the team - it’s a family affair!
Director – Michelle Skelton
Starting her bookkeeping career in 2004, Michelle has provided bookkeeping, payroll, tax services (and also IT support) for clients in the Chippenham and Corsham area. She is passionate in ensuring clients receive the highest possible standard of service in all areas, even processing payroll whilst on her travels!
Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys family life, looking after her young grandson and taking him with her to meet the clients! She also enjoys travelling around the UK and more recently Europe.
Administration & Social Media Support – Kim Skelton
Kim has a qualification in Business Administration and Social Media. She will be joining the company to help with any back office support for Skelton & Co Accounting Ltd as well as for their clients. Kim is currently training in Level II bookkeeping.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her partner and young son and also going on day trips with her parents. Her other passion is Formula 1 and anything car related!
